Birmingham Groves 13, Oak Park 12: Down by a point, Oak Park (0-2) had the ball with five seconds left and threw an incomplete pass into the end zone. Beau Cooley led Groves (2-0) with 10-for-17 passing for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Clarity caught two interceptions on defense and had four tackles. Oak Park quarterback D’wan Mathis was 13-for-23 for 209 passing yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Robert Zanders caught five receptions for 130 yards and one touchdown in the loss.
Detroit Denby 34, Detroit Osborn 0: Adante Calhoun racked up 138 yards on the ground for Denby (2-0) with one touchdown. Tight end Jalen Early nabbed two touchdowns on 55 receiving yards. Quarterback Romel Taylor threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Osborn is 1-1.

Zhamaine March rushed for three touchdowns and racked up 80 yards total. Defjuan Johnson had eight tackles and three sacks.

Detroit Leadership Academy 20, Detroit Public Safety 6: Elijah Lagreer rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns and had six tackles for Academy (1-1). Lamont Green had 10 tackles and three sacks.
Detroit Mumford 26, Detroit Frederick Douglass 0: Brandon Green led the way for Mumford (1-1) with three receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown while racking up four tackles for loss and two sacks on defense. Quarterback Omar Pagan went 9-for-17 for 293 yards and two touchdowns, and he rushed for 79 yards and one TD. Devon Lucas intercepted a pass, recovered a fumble for a touchdown, and had one sack.
Detroit Renaissance 46, Detroit Southeastern 12: Running back Cameron Starks led Renaissance (1-1)with six carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, Damarius Clemons had eight tackles, three for loss, and a forced fumble. Abdur Douyer had a forced fumble and returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown.

Ben Williams returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown to open the game for Harrison (1-1). Brendan Brown led the rushing attack with 10 carries for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Kendall Williams had 20 carries for 50 yards for Farmington (0-2).
Harper Woods 38, Detroit Consortium 28: Keyshawn King had 15 carries for 125 yards and one touchdown for Harper Woods (2-0). At quarterback, King went 7-for-10 passing for 70 yards and three touchdowns. Cortez Scott had three touchdown receptions. Kelvin Jones had 18 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown for Harper Woods.
Mishawaka Penn (Ind.) 14, Birmingham Brother Rice 7: Mariano Valenti’s Hail Mary pass was intercepted at the goal line as time expired, ending Brother Rice’s attempt to force overtime. Valenti finished 17-for-30 passing for 181 yards and one touchdown. Matthew Jordan had nine receptions for 117 yards and one touchdown for Rice (1-1). Penn is 3-0.
Novi Detroit Catholic Central 29, Toledo Whitmer 7: Quarterback Austin Brown went 2-for-3 for 100 yards and two touchdowns for Catholic Central (2-0). Nicholas Capatina had 63 yards rushing on 15 carries. Malik Moore returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown for Whitmer (1-1).
