He thanked his coaches from all levels, family and friends in a post and said he will be an early enrollee. He’s ranked as the No. 21 safety nationally and No. 4 in the state of Michigan by 247Sports. Kelly-Powell had scholarship offers from Alabama, Michigan State and Ohio State among his 42.
U-M is still targeting his Cass teammate and five-star receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, who also plans to enroll early. U-M is in his final five schools.
Kelly-Powell is the 18th commitment in U-M’s 2017 class and the second safety, joining Alabama’s J’Marick Woods.
