Football
Birmingham Groves 24, Birmingham Brother Rice 0: Earnest Allen led the Groves (10-1, 6-0) attack with 68 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Collin Heard added 81 yards and a touchdown on nine rushes. Groves’ defense forced one fumble and three interceptions in the win. Brother Rice finishes the season at 7-4.
Cassopolis 42, Gobles 21:
Dearborn Divine Child 31, Redford Union 7: Leading Divine Child (9-2), Theo Day completed 14-of-21 passes for 231 yards and four touchdowns. Scotty Combs added five catches for 49 yards and three touchdowns.
Grosse Pointe South 24, Grosse Pointe North 14: For South (8-3), Logan Mico completed 7-of-11 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and he also rushed for a touchdown. Jhordan Rush rushed 27 times for 121 yards, and Michael Braker caught three passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Jack Doerer secured 10 tackles, and Davis Graham added nine tackles. North ends the season at 8-3.
Millington 28, Montrose 9: For Millington (10-1), Jared Roehl rushed for two touchdowns, and also added 10 tackles. Bryce Bearss completed 8-of-12 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown.
Muskegon 28, East Grand Rapids 10: Ladarius Jefferson totaled 116 yards rushing and three touchdowns for Muskegon.
Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 49, Linden 14: Leading Orchard Lake (7-4), RaShawn Allen carried the ball 14 times for 242 yards and two touchdowns. Ky’ren Cunningham added 10 rushes for 145 yards and four touchdowns. Linden finishes the season at 7-4.
Walled Lake Western 41, Pinckney 16: Jon Tracy went 14-of-21 with 262 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for Western (10-1). Cam Ford caught seven passes for 157 yards and one touchdown, while Cody White added four receptions for 53 yards along with one rushing touchdown. Jack Wurzer was 16-of-30 with two touchdowns and four interceptions for Pinckney (8-3). Nick Cain had two catches for 90 yards and a score.
Volleyball
Detroit Renaissance 3, Berkley 0: Leading Renaissance (50-3-4), Solei Thomas amassed 17 kills and added four aces. Additionally, Lanica Phillips dished out 32 assists, while Amira Hutson added five aces, seven kills and 11 digs.
Livonia Clarenceville 3, Detroit CMA 0: Clarenceville wins the Class B district title on Michelle Marzolo’s 10-kill performance.
Novi 3, Northville 1: Abryanna Cannon led the Novi attack with 21 kills. Additionally, Claire Pinkerton compiled 17 digs, while Erin O’Leary dished out 48 assists.
Southfield Christian 3, Birmingham Roeper 0: Southfield Christian was led by Jessica Hanson and Tiara Francisco, who each recorded seven kills. Rebekah Wilson added 20 assists.
