Macomb Dakota’s Brett Droski

These five high school football players led their teams to state playoff victories with outstanding performances:

Brett Droski, Macomb Dakota: The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior quarterback completed 19 of 29 passes for 373 yards and touchdown passes of 50, 10 and 10 yards as Dakota registered a Division 1 victory, 48-27, over Chippewa Valley.

Tariq Reid, Davison: The 6-foot, 200-pound junior running back carried 28 times for 166 yards, scoring on runs of 3, 6, 3, 7 and 3 yards, to lead Davison to a 48-12 Division 1 victory over Grand Blanc.

Ricky Clark, Schoolcraft: The 6-foot, 190-pound senior quarterback completed 13 of 19 passes for 226 yards and touchdowns of 39, 44, 47 and 12 yards. He also ran for TDs of 1 and 5 yards in a 40-28 victory over Constantine in a Division 6 game.

Charles Caine, Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett: The 6-1, 180-pound senior ran for 260 yards and five touchdowns. He also had six receptions for 130 yards and two TDs in a 63-35 win over Lutheran Northwest in a Division 7 game.

Bradu Luttrull, Muskegon Oakridge : The 5-10, 155-pound senior quarterback completed 10 of 13 passes for 131 yards and touchdowns of 55 and 8 yards. He gained 138 yards rushing and scored on a 5-yard run in a 41-7 Division 7 win over Grant.
