This is a big visit for Michigan State.
Peoples-Jones projected as the best football recruit out of the state of Michigan in several years. He’s considering the Spartans as well as rival Michigan, Ohio State, Florida and Nebraska.
He was slated to take an official visit to Florida last weekend, but had to postpone it due to Hurricane Matthew, so he visited Ohio State instead. He took an unofficial visit to Michigan on Sept. 24, according to 247Sports.com.
Before the high school football season, Free Press columnist Mick McCabe ranked Peoples-Jones the No. 1 prep football player in Michigan.
Although Peoples-Jones is considering MSU and U-M, he said in July that he plans to take his five allotted official visits outside the region so he can “see something new.” The criteria for schools: “No. 1 academics, No. 2 I want to play with the best, No. 3 got to be in a comfortable environment.”
